The Project: Valley Station Apartments

Real Estate Equities, a St. Paul-based developer, received conditional approval for Valley Station Apartments, a five-story workforce housing development planned for 15584 Gas Light Drive, directly south of the Apple Valley Transit Station.

The project targets working families earning up to 60% of the area median income—approximately $55,000 annually for a single person.

The development represents a dramatic shift for the area. While surrounding developments like the Chasewood town homes have a density of 10.9 units per acre, Valley Station Apartments will house 46.45 units per acre—more than four times the density of its neighbors.
