Local entrepreneur Mike Boogerd recently announced plans to open the state's very first Chicken Salad Chick franchise, now confirmed for Apple Valley.
"Looking forward to bringing a new franchise to Apple Valley," Boogerd shared in his announcement. "I will be opening up the very first Chicken Salad Chick in Minnesota."

Starting from humble beginnings, the chain now boasts over 300 locations across the United States, with a strong presence in the South and a growing footprint in the Midwest.

After working with real estate professionals to find the perfect spot, Mike Boogerd has secured a prime location at 14658 Cedar Ave in Apple Valley. The restaurant will be situated next to Flooring Expo and Five Guys in the bustling commercial area, providing excellent visibility and convenient access for customers.
The project has moved into the development phase, with an architect now on the payroll and paperwork being finalized.
"If everything goes smoothly, we hope to be open before Thanksgiving," Boogerd recently shared, moving up the timeline significantly from the original late summer to fall projection.
This accelerated timeline is exciting news for eager customers who have been anticipating Minnesota's first taste of this Southern favorite.

This Apple Valley location represents more than just a local business venture – it's part of Chicken Salad Chick's ambitious growth plan.
