Hockey Day Minnesota 2026 is officially set to take place in Hastings, January 2026!
It's official – Hastings will be hosting Hockey Day Minnesota 2026! The Minnesota Wild announced that this beloved hockey celebration will be coming to our community, and honestly, we couldn't be more thrilled.
This year is extra special because it marks the 20th anniversary of Hockey Day Minnesota. Twenty years of celebrating what makes Minnesota the true State of Hockey, and now Hastings gets to be part of that legacy. We're expecting around 80,000 hockey fans to join us for what's shaping up to be an incredible weekend.
The Perfect Spot
The event will be held at United Heroes League's outdoor rink, right here in Hastings off Ravenna Trail. If you haven't seen this place yet, you're missing out. They opened this amazing outdoor refrigerated rink back in November 2023, specifically to support military families and veterans. It's the first of its kind, and it's going to be the perfect backdrop for Hockey Day Minnesota.
Shane Hudella from United Heroes League put it perfectly: "We're incredibly excited to be selected as the host site for Hockey Day Minnesota 2026 in Hastings. We look forward to partnering with the Hastings Hockey Association and our community to support and grow youth hockey and make this the best Hockey Day yet."
What's in Store

We'll have high school teams battling it out on the ice, youth hockey showcases, and all the excitement that comes with Hockey Day Minnesota. Trent Hanson from Hastings High School summed up how the whole community feels: "Our community recognizes the incredible opportunity we have to host this premier event with such a storied tradition. Our boys and girls hockey programs, from youth through high school, look forward to participating in this one-of-a-kind experience."
